International Distribution Manager

Bedal International is a MedTech scale-up that specializes in delivering the best catheter securement devices . Our devices ensure proper catheter function through reducing the risk of accidental catheter migration and help reducing the infection risk. With the end goal to increase patient safety and decrease healthcare cost.

Bedal is committed to become the future market leader with best-in-class catheter securement solutions. Our  products were launched in 2020 and meanwhile an extensive network of distributors has been built, through which Bedal’s products are being sold and used in 34 countries worldwide.

To accelerate the commercial roll out and gain market share rapidly, we have opened a newly created position and are therefore looking for an ambitious and energetic International Distributor Manager.

What will you actually do at Bedal?

As the International Distributor Manager you are responsible for driving profitable sales turnover of Bedal products through distributor organizations. At present we have built a network of exclusive distributors in 34 countries. In close cooperation with the CCO, it is your focus to monitor and drive their sales performance by providing continuous service in terms of launching products, providing product training, frequent co-travelling and distributor performance reviews. As well as developing sales and marketing strategies and actions in close cooperation with the distributors that drive growth of market share.

Although the main focus should be on the existing network, you are also expected to expand the network of distributors as such opportunities come along. The Distributor Manager reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Your responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Analyze distributor sales performance and adjust strategy and action plans accordingly.
  • Pro-active management of contracts and agreements.
  • Develop and execute the right sales strategy and product positioning.
  • Providing sales & clinical support to distributors through meetings trainings and co-travel.
  • Frequent co-travelling with sales force of distributors. 60% international travelling expected.
  • Training and educating physicians, hospital staff and Bedal distributors on the use of the products.
  • Build and maintain the CRM system (
  • Maintain a good understanding of the applicable medical markets, its needs and requirements and its competitors.
  • Continuously search for additional niches / medical applications for Bedal products.
  • Provide feedback to Bedal management on market place trends, challenges, programs, response to promotion and product access.
  • Collaborate with Bedal management to establish goals and implement plans to enhance current skill sets and sales results.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and reference centers.
  • Provide periodic sales forecasts and other metrics to the organization.
  • Represent Bedal at trade shows / workshops.
  • Ensure business ethics is in line with laws and company policies at all times.
  • Achieves prompt, mutually satisfactory solution to customers’ complaints.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. A Medical education is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience within hospital environment, selling innovative, premium priced, disposable products. Experience with managing distributors is preferred.
  • A demonstrable record of accomplishment in executing successful sales programs and new product introductions.
  • Hands-on profile, able to work independently under minimal supervision but also as a team player.
  • Effective communicator with logical, organized and tactical verbal, written, listening and presentation skills. Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Smart negotiator, strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
  • Self-starter, result driven. Quality-oriented mindset.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic.
  • Languages: NL and EN is a must. FR is strongly preferred.
  • Must enjoy to travel extensively, both within and outside of EU.
